Professional Experience

Rick is rejoining Marts & Lundy after a six-year hiatus in which he served as vice president of development at the University of Texas, Austin (2004 – 2009) and as director of philanthropy at The Nature Conservancy, Texas (2009 – 2010). Rick first joined Marts & Lundy as a senior consultant in 2000 and we are pleased to have him return and add his expertise to our consulting core. Prior to 2000, he served for nineteen years as head of development at his alma mater, Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Under Rick’s direction, the university recorded more than $100 million in gifts, pledges and bequests and successfully completed a $75.5 million comprehensive campaign in 1998, with a gift and pledge total of nearly $92 million.
