Marts & Lundy was fortunate to add Kim Hawkins to our consulting practice when the Firm acquired Raybin Associates, a New York City-based consulting firm, in January of 2012. Kim began her consulting career with Raybin Associates in 1987 after spending 15 years as chief development officer at institutions such as St. Joseph Medical Center and Greenwich Country Day School (both  in Connecticut) the Japan Society in New York, and Anatolia College (an American school in Greece). She also served as Director of Alumni Relations at Manhattanville College.

Though her professional focus has been on major gifts and capital campaigns, Kim brings to the her client work a wide-ranging background in fundraising, planning, and communications, having done almost every job in the development office from mail list maintenance, to hospital foundation president, to soliciting six- and seven-figure gifts. In her 25 years with Raybin Associates, Kim worked with non-profits in the educational, religious, cultural, human services, and environmental sectors.

Long committed to service to the profession, Kim has served on the national Foundation Board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). She was also a founding board member and president of the Fairfield County (CT) chapter of AFP. In 2010, she co-chaired the Giving Institute's Summer Symposium for consulting professionals. She has recently assumed the role of Chair of the Editorial Review Board of Giving USA. Kim has been a frequent speaker at professional conferences on topics such as campaign preparation, major gifts, board development, and strategic planning.

A prolific writer and editor, Kim authored a chapter in the Wiley & Sons textbook The Non-Profit Handbook: Fund Raising, second edition.
