Speaking Engagements
Writing Workshop Case
Association of Midwest Museums 2013 Conference

Speakers: Willard White, Senior Consultant & Principal, and Anne Reusche, Strategic Communications Affiliated Consultant

Why are some nonprofits flourishing as other struggle to survive – or merge and close?  One answer lies in how organizations shape their vision and objectives into language that speaks to donors.

In this 90-minute workshop, Willard and Anne will share their experience leading organizations to a compelling case for support based on three simple questions as a starting point.  The workshop will include successful examples of case writing and the steps to building a winning case.  Participants will leave with a case outline that sets their organization apart from all others.

Trends in Philanthropy
Association of Midwest Museums 2013 Conference

Speaker: Willard White, Senior Consultant & Principal

Knowledge is power, especially in uncertain and anxious times.  Good data—displayed and interpreted—can be the source for understanding where you and your organization fit in today’s changing marketplace.  Drawing on a variety of data sources, Willard’s session will answer key questions:

  • What does philanthropy look like today?
  • How are the values, motivations, and expectations of donors changing?
  • How will current trends shape the future?

Participants will learn from hard statistics and findings from donor interviews and will leave with a better understanding of where their organizations and their members/donors fit in the philanthropic scene.
