Edward J. Kvet, DME

Of Counsel

Ed is a frequent speaker and consults to numerous colleges and universities. He served Loyola University New Orleans as Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs from 2008 to 2012, and as Dean of the College of Music and Fine Arts from 1998-2008. Previously he was Director of the School of Music at Central Michigan University for eight years.

Ed is a faculty member at development conferences sponsored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and was awarded the CASE Crystal Apple Award for outstanding teaching. He was a member of the Commission on Accreditation for the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) and held other elective offices for NASM, the Ohio Music Education Association, the Louisiana Music Educators Association, and served as President of the Michigan Music Educators Association. He has served as chair of the board committee for development of the New Orleans Opera Association and currently serves as chair of the development committee for Santa Fe Pro Musica.

Ed holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Baldwin-Wallace College and master’s and doctoral degrees in music education from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music.
