Giuseppe Rizza, CFRE

Giuseppe (Joe) Rizza joined Marts&Lundy in 2019 with 36 years of experience in fundraising, including 23 years as Chief Development Officer for leading healthcare, education and human service organizations. He has worked in large complex institutions, including academic medical centers, community hospital systems and universities; as well as in small to medium sized organizations.

His special focus is strategic planning for fundraising; using the planning process to “raise the bar,” institute best practices and challenge the status quo for the purpose of raising more money and recruiting and retaining more donors. Additional specialties include building and expanding development programs, campaign planning and execution, organizing major gifts programs and establishing and working with powerful boards.

Joe was President of the Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation, from 2011 to 2019, and served as part of the senior leadership of Presbyterian Healthcare Services. Previously he was with the Beaumont Healthcare Foundation, Royal Oak, Michigan, as Vice President, Campaigns; Vice President and Chief Development Officer of Walsh College, Troy, Michigan; Director of Development for Judson Center, Royal Oak, Michigan; and Director of Annual Giving for University of Detroit Mercy, Detroit, Michigan.
