Powerful, Yet Underestimated:
The Rise of Millennial and Gen Z Women Donors

Millennial and Gen Z women are not just shaping the future of giving – they are redefining it. Possessing strong values around equity, transparency, and collective impact, young women give differently, lead boldly, and expect more from institutions and organizations they seek to partner with. Yet, many fundraising strategies are still rooted in outdated assumptions about gender, wealth, and influence.

During this live, two-hour virtual workshop, we will explore data, philanthropic insights, and strategy to better engage two of the most powerful and underestimated donor demographics: Millennial and Gen Z women. This workshop is designed for fundraisers and advancement professionals who are seeking to advance fundraising strategies that resonate with these generations of donors – who are often overlooked – as well as philanthropic leaders who wish to accelerate the pace of social progress. Whether you’re cultivating emerging donors or reimagining stewardship, this workshop offers tools to help you meet the moment with clarity and intentionality.

We will discuss what works and what doesn’t when cultivating the next generation of women philanthropists, including understanding key characteristics (values-driven, socially conscious, etc.), their giving behaviors, and what it means to implement segmentation over generalization. You will gain the tools to reimagine your fundraising strategy with relevant messaging and engagement opportunities while also avoiding stereotypes and assumptions. These donors are rewriting the rules and shaping the future of fundraising. Let’s make sure we are ready.
