Matthew P. Haag

Matt joined Marts&Lundy as a consulting partner in 2023 as an experienced leader in healthcare and higher education advancement. Matt has a nearly 30-year record of success in annual, major gift, planned gift, and foundation and corporate fundraising; demonstrated skill in developing and leading teams; and a background in engagement events and alumni relations.

Matt currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at Dartmouth Health and Vice-President at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine where he has been employed since September 2018 building and leading fundraising and engagement for the academic medical enterprise. He has recruited an experienced leadership team and overseen the professionalization of development operations, resulting in more than a 50 percent increase in philanthropic support to advance patient care, medical education and research. Since his arrival, Dartmouth Health and Geisel have been continually recognized by AHP as a High Performer in the overall and health system categories.

Prior to joining Dartmouth Health and the Geisel School of Medicine, Matt served as the Associate Vice President of Clinical, Research and Academic Development for the University of Rochester, University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), in Rochester, New York. In that role, Matt oversaw the fundraising and alumni relations programs for three academic programs as well as the fundraising for the clinical and research efforts
