Meryl R. Cosentino brings more than 30 years of experience in estate and gift planning to her role as a Consulting Partner with Marts&Lundy. She is recognized nationally for her donor-centered approach to philanthropy and her ability to develop innovative solutions that integrate technical expertise with strategic insight.

Currently, Meryl serves as Assistant Vice President of Gift Planning, Trusts & Estates at a renowned New York City-based institution of higher education, where she leads a nationally respected program. Most recently, she launched the university’s inaugural Legacy Match campaign, securing more than $68 million in newly documented bequests.

Her prior experience includes leadership roles at The Nature Conservancy, St. Francis Hospital, and Stony Brook University. Earlier in her career, Meryl practiced law with a focus on special education and trusts & estates, and also served as an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn.

Meryl completed a three-year term on the Board of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP), chaired the 2020 CGP National Conference, and is a President Emeritus of the Philanthropic Planning Group of Greater New York (PPGGNY). In 2025, she received PPGGNY’s Cloughy Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her leadership and contributions to the field.
