Peter R. Ramsey

Peter became Of Counsel in February 2016 after having worked as a senior consultant serving independent schools and higher education clients since August 2014. Peter joined Marts&Lundy after 37 years as a fundraiser and strategist for nonprofits. He spent the vast majority of those years working in education, most recently for Phillips Academy (Andover). Already a trusted advisor to his colleagues, Peter provides our higher education and independent school clients with the expertise that comes from a long career as a successful leader in the advancement of philanthropy in education.
Since 1985 Peter had served as the Chief Development Officer for Phillips Academy (Andover), Wellesley College and Babson College, completing three comprehensive capital campaigns ranging from $168 to $322 million.
In 2006 Peter rejoined Andover as Secretary of the Academy following two years at Babson College as Vice President for Development, where he helped organize a major campaign initiative. At the Academy, Peter was responsible for the Office of Academy Resources with 50 colleagues managing alumni engagement, development and institutional communications. In 2012 Andover completed The Campaign for Andover at $322 million. From 1995 to 2004 he also served as Secretary of the Academy, once again managing OAR and Campaign Andover that generated $209 million.
