Stephen Lawe

Stephen has worked at RSG, a mission-driven consulting firm that develops transformative methods and ideas to solve complex problems, since 1988. He has played a pivotal role in the technical innovation and growth of the firm. From 2012 to 2024, he served as RSG’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and was responsible for company strategy and performance. After 12 years as CEO, Stephen transitioned from company leadership to a Principal role where he focuses on thought leadership, working with clients to bring about transformative change, and mentoring the next generation of leaders.
Stephen’s expertise in the analysis and development of public policy has been nationally recognized, and he is credited with the development of innovative tools and methodologies used by Fortune 500 companies in the formulation of their market strategies. He serves as a technical adviser on select national projects and leads research to understand global challenges. Stephen has provided guidance on national debates such as infrastructure finance, energy demand from the transportation sector, climate change, and equitable allocation of billions of federal dollars for low-income housing.
In addition to serving on the Marts&Lundy board, Stephen serves on the board of a for-profit ESOP energy consulting firm and a nonprofit organization dedicated to delivering the best online medical healthcare education. Previously, Stephen was on the board of a nonprofit organization focused on the development of low-income housing and the delivery of social services to its tenants.
