The Bridge to Transformational Giving in Canada

In the fall of 2022, we launched a study of the operations, aspirations, and trends in principal philanthropic giving in Canada. Our findings comprise interview and survey results from 14 universities and 17 hospital foundations across Canada. In our report, we share the characteristics of top performers, each of which received gifts greater than $5M between 2020 and 2022. Five of the top performers were universities, and four were hospital foundations. We also examine how cohorts compare across dimensions of the study.
